In this travel guide I'll show you how to maximise your time and see the very best of the country - from the capital Ljubljana, to Lake Bled, Postojna Cave, and Predjama Castle! All of this in just 3 days! First, I show you the sites of the laid-back capital city of Ljubljana. From the iconic Dragon Bridge to taking the funicular up to the historic Ljubljana Castle for panoramic city views. I'll tell you why Slovenia love their dragons, explore the beautiful Ljubljana Cathedral, and explore the alternative, street-art-filled commune of Metelkova Mesto. Next, we head to Lake Bled, one of the most picturesque alpine lakes in Europe! We ride a traditional wooden Pletna boat to Bled Island to ring the famous wishing bell at the Church of the Assumption, hike up to the 1011-year-old medieval Bled Castle perched on a cliff, and walk the stunning 6 km circumference path before trying the legendary Bled Cream Cake. Finally, we head underground to explore Postojna Cave, one of the world's largest karst cave systems, home to rare "baby dragons" (aquatic olm salamanders). We’ll ride the world's first cave railway before visiting the nearby Predjama Castle, the world's largest cave castle, complete a network of secret tunnels!
