Ljubljana Surprised Us! Postojna Cave, Predjama Castle & Lake Bled on a Budget

When we planned our trip to Slovenia, there was one thing at the top of Troy's list - seeing the incredible Predjama Castle, built right into the mouth of a cliffside cave. That alone was enough to put Ljubljana on our itinerary, but this charming little country ended up giving us so much more. In this video, Troy takes the microphone as we explore Ljubljana's beautiful old town, wander along the riverside, and discover why so many travelers fall in love with this picturesque capital. We also venture underground into the stunning Postojna Cave, one of the largest cave systems in Europe, before finally visiting the castle that inspired the trip in the first place. As if that wasn't enough, we make our way to the postcard-perfect shores of Lake Bled, with its turquoise water, island church, and storybook setting. Slovenia wasn't exactly one of the cheapest stops on our journey, so this was a shorter visit than we would have liked. But despite the higher prices, it quickly became one of our favorite destinations so far. Beautiful scenery, fascinating history, friendly people, and some truly unforgettable sights made every day here worthwhile.
