#203 Female Narcissism – with Dr. Bärbel Wardetzki April will feature a small special series on a topic that I consider more current, relevant, and urgent than ever. Not only because it affects us as individuals and as a society more than we may realize, but also because, in my opinion, we have too one-dimensional a view of it. It's about narcissism. According to the ICD-10, only 0.5 to 2.5% of the population is affected by a narcissistic personality disorder. In the ICD-11, this clinical picture no longer exists at all; there is only the general personality disorder, which is then to be researched in detail to determine which person needs what kind of help based on their symptoms. Anyone who has ever dealt with narcissism will not be able to ignore my guest today. She has been researching, developing, and publishing on this highly complex topic since the late 1980s and has written numerous books on narcissism. Her bestseller, "Female Narcissism," is certainly one of the most important and widely read works and, in my opinion, should be on every bookshelf if you want to better understand yourself and your environment.
