My Daily Bicycle Commute - Toronto - September 2013

Here is a video that I filmed showing the route that I take each day from my apartment in the Yonge and Eglinton area, to my workplace which is in the Yonge and Sheppard Area. I realize that this video is not suited for everyone, since it is so long. However, I'm hoping that there are people from around the world who bicycle in other countries who will be interested to watch. I have added in a digital speedometer and heart rate monitor, and included voice commentary to help keep the video interesting. Toronto is not a particularly bike friendly city, so finding a safe route can be difficult. In this video I used my new Contour Roam 2 camera to shoot the action footage. I recorded the audio with my Panasonic voice recorder. I tracked the speed and heart rate using my Garmin eTrex 30 GPS, and wrote a basic program in Turing to refresh the numbers on the screen for displaying it. I hope you enjoy it, and maybe this will inspire you to try bicycling to work! Thanks for watching!
