Ballad of Jane Doe | Ride the Cyclone Animatic (Flash Warning)

Heads up for flashing imagery around 2:41-2:51! I think this is a song everyone has been waiting a long time for, and it’s finally here! I really wanted this to be a high note to end the year on, which is why I was working really hard to get it out so soon after Space Age Bachelor Man. I think it paid off, as I am incredibly proud of the final product. I also hope this is enough to stave you all over as I start planning out content for the new year! As I wrap up the Ride the Cyclone series, I’ll be reintegrating some OC content back into this channel, as there has been a severe lack of that lately. I also wanna dip my toes into some fan content for other works, so stay tuned! I’d also like to announce that there are not two songs left, as I originally said, but now three! After a lot of deliberation and working out the overarching narrative, I made the decision to include New Birthday Song in the official video series. I hope you all won’t be too disappointed waiting a little longer for Sugar Cloud, as I think the less visually intense song in between will really help make Sugar Cloud the best video it can be :0) Fun fact: I, for the life of me, cannot remember where I saw it, but there was this one production of Ride the Cyclone where their Jane Doe sang on a sort of carousel-esque horse prop due to not having a fly mechanic, and that was what inspired this animatic in its entirety. I was so lost and intimidated by having to do this song, but seeing that just made everything click. I just could vividly imagine Jane lamenting on a carousel, and that’s what led to everything else. And yes. That is Ezra Lamb. Yes, those are frames from my Legoland animatic.
