Tiharea sings “Dadah” (live in 2001)
Just a few years before they appeared in our show 'Reiziger in Muziek' singer Talike founded her group Tiharea with her sisters. In 1998 the group won the “Kleurrijk Talent” world music contest in Rotterdam. This was the start of the international break-trough of her group. Tiharea’s polyphonic songs are performed in Antandroy, the language from Southern Madagascar. They speak about traditional ceremonies, the life of women, the misery and the mistreatment and the joy of life. This song 'Dadah' is dedicated to their brother a famous musician on Madagascar
