Kirby Schepp - Transitioning Into a 5 Out Basketball Offence - Basketball MB Super Coaches Clinic Bisons men's basketball head coach Kirby Schepp is entering his 16th season leading the team in the 2024-25 season, having coached over 50 different teams throughout his career. Under his guidance, the Bisons have reached the post-season in 11 of the last 14 years, including a remarkable streak of ten consecutive seasons from 2014 to 2024. Schepp has also led the team to four Canada West Final Four appearances and holds a cumulative coaching record of 153-131 in Canada West play, nearing the program record. His achievements include a historic 18-2 regular season finish in 2022-23, which earned him his second Coach of the Year honour with Bison Sports. In addition to his collegiate coaching, Schepp has been involved with the Canadian Men's National Team Program for over a decade, contributing to several medal-winning teams at international events. He achieved significant success, including a bronze medal at the 2010 World 17U Championships and a gold medal with the Junior National Team in 2017. Notably, he led Canada to its first men's basketball medal at the Commonwealth Games, securing a silver in 2018. Schepp has also coached emerging NBA talents such as Andrew Wiggins and Dillon Brooks. A graduate of the University of Winnipeg and the University of Victoria, he has extensive experience in high school and club coaching, and he is recognized as a NCCP Master Learning facilitator, having trained numerous coaches over the years.
