Road Cycling Vlog: A Tough Day On The Isle Of Wight. The day finally arrived. It was time for me to put up or shut up. If you have been watching the road cycling vlog on my youtube channel you will know that one of my cycling goals every year is to ride an event called the Isle of Wight Randonnee. This cycling event takes place on the Isle of Wight here in the UK and is, essentially, a bit like a cycle sportive or a Gran Fondo. There are two rides; the short one at 55kms and the full one at 110kms. The route itself is quite challenging as you are either climbing or descending. There are very few flat roads on this ride! Because my cycle training has not been going well so far this year I have my doubts about being fit enough to ride the long route. My initial thought is to ride the short one but, who knows, I may just have a moment of madness and end up riding the long one instead. I did this last year only to end up being extremely tired at the end.
