Effective Method For Melody Writing And Shaping Of Notes|ABRSM Music Theory Grade 8. Part 1. (Simple Time Rhythm). In the grade 8 theory exams, most students struggle with the melody writing. For this I have introduced useful templates for students to write the melody. It's helpful to write a 12-bar melody within 20 minutes and this video will cover the most basic form of ternary A-B-A to structure the composition so that the students can include two melody writing techniques such as 'imitation' and 'sequence' to build up a climax at middle section B, this musical structure also include a modulation at middle section B. There are specific rules to follow for rhythmic structure in simple time, teacher jenny has given very clear instructions in grouping the notes correctly so that the phrasing of your melody will be smooth and more lyrical in singing style. Also a comprehensive method for proper composition in exam format is included.
