When suffering enters our lives, it's natural to ask, "Why is this happening to me?" Like King Hezekiah, we may struggle to reconcile God's love with painful circumstances, especially when we've tried to live faithfully. Yet we are reminded that our relationship with God is not a transaction where good behaviour guarantees an easy life. Instead, God invites us to trust in His mercy rather than our merits. Faith is revealed not when life is smooth, but when we continue to turn to God in the midst of uncertainty, bringing Him our tears, our questions, and our hearts with humility. His ways may remain a mystery, but His love never ceases.
