Professor EXPOSES the Sham of Synodality in the Catholic Church
Has "synodality" become one of the most misused words in the Catholic Church? In this in-depth conversation, Katherine Bennett and Mark Lambert are joined by renowned canon lawyer, theologian and former English Secretary to Pope St John Paul II, Professor William A. Thomas, to examine one of the defining issues facing the Church today. Read the book https://www.amazon.co.uk/Catholic-Rev... The Great Deception William A. Thomas Synodality does not transmit the deposit of Faith, it is a new invented on-going process, which is not of any authority or Council of the Catholic Church, but which is put together by the emotional whims of corrupted men and women, some of them dress as sheep, but who are in fact in many cases poisonous wolves- Its aims are to de-construct the hierarchy of the Church and place the power of guidance into certain laity who will be illegally and illicitly empowered to replace the sacred power of governance given by Christ Himself to bishops and only bishops. It would be like the sheep telling the shepherd what to do and where to go. This process is linked with the suppression of the Latin language and with it the Catholic Culture. We have arrived at this point because Pope Bergoglio messed up the Sacred Congregations as they were called, which are now known as Dicastery’s. He relegated the Doctrine of the Faith which was once the most important Congregation in defending the faith, to being subjected to and under the authority of the Secretariat of State. In effect this means that the Catholic Dogmas and Doctrines are no longer safe, and that doctrine must from here on give way to perceived Pastoral needs, and that the Lived Experience is now a higher authority than the teaching of Jesus. The document is full of buzz words such as inclusion, dialogue, accompaniment, listening, subsidiarity, diversity, participation and discernment. It is devoid of the Catholic words such as, prayer, penance, sacrifice, holiness, reparation, adoration, grace, mercy, intercession, charity, the Holy Eucharist, obedience, humility, fasting, contemplation, mission and apostolate. William A. Thomas Feast of Our Lady of Mount Carmel 2026 What exactly is synodality? Is it simply a renewed emphasis on listening and collaboration, or does it represent a fundamental shift in the Church's constitution and understanding of authority? Drawing on decades of experience in canon law, theology and Church history, Professor Thomas explains the origins of synodality, distinguishes authentic Catholic teaching from contemporary innovations, and explores what the debate means for ordinary Catholics. The discussion ranges across the nature of ecclesial authority, the role of bishops and the papacy, the influence of Vatican II, and concerns surrounding current proposals connected with governance, participation and doctrinal development. Whether you have been following the Synod on Synodality closely or are simply trying to understand what all the discussion is about, this conversation provides historical context, theological analysis and practical insight. In this episode: What "synodality" actually means—and where the term came from. Is synodality rooted in Catholic tradition or something fundamentally new?
