Sewing a witchy wardrobe in the dead of summer
Hello again! I hope everyone has been keeping as cool as possible amid the summer heat, and I hope that you have got a good book and/or art project to relax with. This is an admittedly autumn-nostalgic project in which I will be sewing a witchy / sort-of-gothic outfit, in hopes that some autumnal weather will come along with it! Both top and skirt are entirely self drafted and therefore without pattern, although with the help of a tape measure, some maths, and determination, you may draft the skirt in a similar fashion should you wish to! The fabrics used are black cotton voile (lightweight, breathable, great for summer) and brown plain cotton (plain woven structure, which makes it a good stable fabric to sew with if you’re just beginning). Without further ado, I hope you enjoy the video. Thank you to my sister for photography of the final outfit, and to my mum for video help! *** Music: Lace Tablecloths by the Mini Vandals Rain Over Kyoto Station by the Mini Vandals
