Córdoba City Council has declared a local emergency level 1 in the capital's flood-prone areas, and five subdivisions near the Guadalquivir River, which is at the red or flood level, were evacuated early Tuesday morning. The Córdoba City Council met in the early hours of the morning with the Local Emergency Plan advisory committee, chaired by the mayor of Córdoba, José María Bellido, after the Valchillón stream reached the red level and the Cuzna River reached the yellow level, both of which affect the Guadalquivir River level in the capital.
