The Role of Teachers in Christianity | Finding Your Way Home - Part 6 | Ezra and Nehemiah

Ezra and Nehemiah are one story written by the same author. This week, we finally meet Ezra - 60 years after the temple is completed. Ezra was a scribe and an expert teacher of the law. In those days, people received all their spiritual teachings from people like him, and put ultimate trust in what was taught to them. However, as New Testament Christians, we are instructed to seek the Word for ourselves - to read the Bible and understand it more deeply every day. So, does this mean that teachers are no longer useful to us? Not quite. This week we look at the importance of teachers, and the measure of their character. ---------- CHAPTERS: 1.
