Louisiana fishermen's choice Cajun Dancing w/ Trout & Croakers in ICW. Drop Shot Rig does it again.

Team Jo-Jo — Louisiana Fishing at Its Best Team Jo-Jo: Oneofthepack was able to round up the Dynamic Daring Duo once again and get them back aboard the Bay Flat Jr. for another early morning adventure to the ICW in pursuit of the elusive Silverwonders and Redwarriors. Learning from the previous trip, the crew decided to meet an hour earlier at 4:30 AM in hopes of arriving with the same favorable tide conditions that had produced fish before. As every seasoned fisherman knows, timing the tide can make all the difference between a slow day and a memorable one. Of course, every adventure has its challenges. Just as they were making good time, someone realized the ice chest had been left behind. There was no turning back on the importance of keeping the day's catch cold, so the crew made a quick return trip to retrieve it. That unexpected detour meant breakfast became a casualty of the mission, as everyone agreed to skip the morning meal and make up the lost time on the water. It also appeared the Dynamic Daring Duo may have enjoyed a late evening the night before. They weren't quite as energetic or talkative as on previous outings, and the early wake-up call certainly wasn't helping matters. The boat ride was unusually quiet, with plenty of yawns and coffee making most of the talking. But all signs of fatigue disappeared the moment the first rod doubled over. The crew instantly shifted into fishing mode, with adrenaline replacing sleepiness. Nets came out, rods bent, fish hit the deck, and before long the Dynamic Daring Duo looked like their old selves again. As always, nothing wakes up a Team Jo-Jo crew faster than hungry Silverwonders on the other end of the line. Sometimes it's the little adventures—the forgotten ice chest, skipped breakfast, and sleepy-eyed crew—that make a successful day on the water even more memorable. AREAS / SPOTS / NUMBERS FISHED: • ICW • Mouth of Bayou Bievenue red fish hole OUR REWARDS: • Live to fish another day • (18) Silverwonders, 14 Miniwonders • (1) Ratwarrior • (5) Whitewonders • (1) Pin fish • (41)Croakers • (4) Catfish • (5) Popped lines, good reason to have prefabricated drop shot rigs on hand • Lunch at Big Easy Dinner • Lessons Learned:  Got to try sliding cork rig, rubber band to stop working really well, kept my rig at depth I wanted.  Leaving earlier in meet up good deal  Big Jason needs how to hole his fish, he had his (PB) holding for picture and dropped it overboard, Luckly it was along the shoreline he got it back.  Hard to repeat a trip, Sunday they are jumping in the boat, today we had to ferniest them.  Not sure we need live shrimp, I think dead shrimp would produce same action, plus lures working well too.  I would love to have some little live croakers for bait to try them. • Best fishing trip of my life… until the next one.
