This level crossing has quite unique and retro-sounding alarms which are reasonably loud. They're rather frequently sounding too as there are trains in each direction every 15 minutes (a total of eight trains per hour) typically. At the very start of the video, the lowering sequence was briefly cancelled to allow somebody to finish crossing. This was not a malfunction. The train in the third lowering was un-expected and was an empty coaching stock (ECS) movement towards Ormskirk for extra peak-time capacity. Thanks for watching!
