Hoggs Hill Level Crossing - Merseyside

Location: 53.544683, -3.067244 Line: Merseyrail Northern Line (Southport - Hunts Cross) Crossing Type: UWC [MWL] Equipment: Schweizer Electronic Vamos 22 Timetable used: Hightown (Closest station) Footage captured at: 15:39, 15:44, 15:54, and 16:00 A return to this crossing after previously visiting it in April 2024, no changes have obviously occurred here but at the time of visiting the footpath surrounding both sides of the crossing was being improved by Sefton Council. In August 2025, a man died here after accidentally running into the path of a train. I'm not neccessarily fond of the positioning of the lights, and they'd look more visible if they were rotated to face the curve in the footpath.
