Making a New Mushroom Sterilizer/Pasteurizer Chamber
Originally my mushroom sterilizing chamber was two 200L stainless barrels, but I was sick of having to spend multiple days running them, and wanted to do all my mushroom blocks in one go. So i got a second hand trough and made this giant sterilizing tank! It's 800L, and already has a false floor and the steam pipe connector. I have used PIR board as the insulation, at 50mm thick. This means that across the whole surface area of the tank, I am only losing around 210W of power when it's heated and running. The only problem.. My mini boiler doesn't have a grunt to keep it at 95c efficiently!
