Newcastle Recycling - 947 | Ex Narrabri

The drivers find it shit but I personally don’t mind this truck. This is the only spare unit Cleanaway runs within the Newcastle contract. It’s really nice to see a change from the regular Bucher and Rico models so to see a Superior Pak in the area is quite refreshing. SL00947 started its life in the joint Moree, Gwydir and Narrabri contract in north west New South Wales. JR Richards recently took over all domestic waste pick ups in those 3 councils leaving Cleanaway with a few extra trucks on their hands. Seeing one end up in Newcastle! It still baffles me onto why they have kept the bull-bar on the truck as there is little to no rural suburbs in Newcastle. I could imagine them removing sometime soon. We see Brad who would usually be in SL01720 doing his morning route in Merewether. This was filmed in the more rich side where all the large mansions with views are haha. All trucks are getting a service this week leaving every driver with the opportunity to try it out! Ex Canterbury unit SL00772 spent a couple of weeks up here recently which I can happily say I filmed! Video should be up in coming months. Cheers to Brad (Ex Port Stephens driver) for letting me film.
