A woman driving unusually slowly along a Florida highway catches the attention of a sheriff’s deputy—but what begins as a routine traffic stop quickly becomes something much more serious. After pulling her over, the deputy notices that something appears to be off. Because they’re stopped beside an active highway, he brings her back to his cruiser to continue the conversation in a safer location. As he checks her information and asks additional questions, a K-9 unit arrives to conduct a sniff around her vehicle. That’s when this traffic stop takes a major turn. The officers search the vehicle, allegedly discover narcotics, and what might have ended with a warning becomes a felony arrest.
