Woman Gets Arrested for 3rd DUI After Giving False Name

On June 29, 2023, Miami Township police officers were patrolling the city looking for a vehicle that was the subject of a welfare check. Officer Pielage spotted the vehicle driving in a parking lot. By the time he could park his vehicle, the driver was attempting to walk away. The 33-year-old woman gave Officer Pielage a false name and date of birth. However, officers quickly discovered the woman's true identity. Due to the fact that she appeared intoxicated, she was asked to perform standardized field sobriety tests, which she refused. She was then arrested for DUI. While enroute to the police station, she belittles Officer Pileage in a drunken tirade. Upon arrival at the police station, she was given an opportunity to submit to an evidentiary breath test, which she refused. Because this was her 3rd DUI charge and it was combined with a criminal charge of obstructing official business, she was transported to the Clermont County Jail. While enroute to the jail, she criticizes everything Officer Pielage does. She was booked into the jail and posted bond several days later.
