Vaughan Williams - RHOSYMEDRE
Ralph Vaughan Williams composed his organ prelude on Rhosymedre (or "Lovely") as the second movement in a collection of 3 movements under the name, "Three Preludes on Welsh Hymn Tune". This rendition is played on my Hauptwerk organ on the extremely versatile and excellent sample set of Rotterdam by Sonus Paradisi. Rhosymedre is a hymn written by a Welsh Anglican priest John David Edwards. It was named after the village of Rhosymedre in Wales. A place where he was the vicar from 1843 until his death in 1885. The strong bond to Wales proberly was one of the reasons why it was chosen to be performed at the funeral of Diana, the princess of Wales. __________________________ HOW TO SUPPORT MY WORK AND MY CHANNEL The most important thing is that the people watching my video enjoy them and hopefully want to subscribe to my channel.
