UK Christmas Markets: Overpriced and Underwhelming

Why go to Frankfurt when your local town centre has their own Christmas market that feels like a Disneyland theme park version of the real thing? At every Christmas Market you'll see the same stalls, the same food and drink, the same attractions and the same goods for sale. That pretty much everyone agrees is not worth the extortionate asking prices. Like everything to do with Christmas, it started as a festive tradition that has now become an overpriced, overcrowded, underwhelming tourist trap. Despite the popularity of Lincoln's Christmas Market with record attendance in 2022, the following year's event was cancelled. With many finding the event dangerous and overrated.
