Wallenstein II to go (Schiller in 8 Minuten)
It's safe to say, but with a play on words, that Wallenstein was the star of the Thirty Years' War. First, he was a genius at commanding troops, second, he was a huge fan of astrology, and third, it was his destiny to burn up like a snuffbox. None other than his original boss, the Emperor, ordered his assassination in Eger in early 1634. Schiller depicts the historical events relatively accurately, with a few elements (e.g., a love story), but above all, he creates a dramatic figure in Wallenstein that is unparalleled. Experience the third part of the drama trilogy—WALLENSTEIN'S DEATH—in a compact and entertaining summary by Michael Sommer and his Playmobil ensemble.
