Today we bring you some crunchy chickpea snacks that are absolutely amazing, some pumpkin chips, and some sweet potato chips, a recipe worth trying. It's very economical, super easy, and so, so delicious. Your request was "less flour, a bit healthier?" Homemade Snacks, this series that's here to stay, presents us with a dilemma: fried or baked? Based on your request, I tried to make those delicious and crunchy sweet potato snacks sold in supermarkets. When I did, I ran into a problem: baking them in the oven takes forever. While I was making them, I started frying them, and everything was much faster, and the result left me wondering, is it better, fried or baked? Ingredients Sweet potatoes, as needed Pumpkin, as needed Chickpeas, 1 can Hot paprika, 1 tablespoon Curry powder, 1 tablespoon Oil, 2 tablespoons Step by Step For the chickpeas, drain all the liquid from the can with a strainer and set aside. In a bowl, place the paprika, curry powder, and oil. Stir, then add the drained chickpeas. Mix to coat them with the flavor. Place them in a baking dish, well separated. Bake in a low oven at 100-120 degrees for 30 to 40 minutes, until golden brown and crispy. For the sweet potatoes, wash and cut them into 2 to 3 millimeter-wide slices, preferably evenly spaced so they cook evenly. We place them on a baking sheet without oil or salt, separated, and place them in a low oven at 120 degrees for 40 to 50 minutes, making sure they don't burn in between. For the squash, we peel and cut slices of one or two millimeters, place them on a baking sheet, and cook for 40 to 45 minutes in a low oven. For the pumpkins, we turn them over to prevent them from sticking to the surface. Squash and sweet potatoes can be fried in plenty of hot oil, and after they cool, we put them in a low oven for 5 to 10 minutes. They will stay crispier and firmer for longer.
