This Is Me

"This Is Me" isn't just another song—it's the conversation behind every song that came before it. Over the last month, we've poured our hearts into dozens of songs. We've celebrated family, wrestled with PTSD, told stories of blue-collar life, honored first responders, thanked small businesses, reflected on faith, confronted broken homes, fought through personal regrets, and searched for hope in places that often seem hopeless. Every lyric has come from real experiences, real conversations, and real scars. Along the way came encouragement... but also criticism. Some questioned the use of AI. Some questioned the dream behind The_Broken_Patriot. Some questioned whether any of this could ever make a difference. This song is my answer. Not in anger. Not in defense. Simply in truth. AI didn't live my life. It didn't survive my childhood. It didn't endure custody battles. It didn't walk away from life-changing accidents. It didn't struggle to become a better husband, father, friend, or neighbor. Those experiences are mine. AI became the instrument—not the author of my convictions. More importantly, this song marks a turning point. The_Broken_Patriot isn't disappearing. The music isn't stopping. We'll still be out in our communities, supporting local businesses, shaking hands, sharing stories, and creating songs that reflect real life. What's changing is our focus. Instead of trying to grow a movement, we're choosing to grow ourselves. Instead of asking people to believe our words, we're committed to living them. Whether The_Broken_Patriot someday becomes a nonprofit, an organization, a brotherhood, or simply remains a family sharing its journey, time will decide that—not us. For now, we're choosing to slow down, love our families well, serve our communities faithfully, and let our actions speak louder than our ambitions. If you've listened to our music from the beginning, thank you. If this is your first song, welcome. Whether you agree with every word or not, thank you for taking the time to hear the story behind the songs. This isn't the end of our journey. It's simply the moment we stopped trying to prove who we are... ...and started focusing on becoming who we promised we'd be. — The_Broken_Patriot
