Secret Chambers of Salona

I recently found out about a structure next to the Five bridges section in Salona. While Five bridges is basically a bridge with 5 arches, this other construction seems to be an extension of it. The entrance was quite uninviting and uncomfortable but I managed to get inside and enjoy this, rarely seen unique space. The archaeologists are certainly aware of it but a proper scientific paper is needed. I don't have sufficient knowledge about Roman architecture to come up with any conclusions so my best guess would be that this was another bridge but also a cistern of some sort due to nicely plastered interior. UPDATE: I received a call from an archaeologist saying that this is a water distribution system. SUBSCRIBE if you want more of unique stories on Croatia.
