Resonating fiercely through countless eras since the Muromachi period, the "Kenketo Festival" is no mere preservation of tradition; it embodies the authentic heat of the people who live on this land. 【公式解説：Official Description】 ■ 瀧樹神社のケンケト踊り / Tagi Shrine no Kenketo Odori (The Kenketo Dance of Tagi Shrine) 甲賀町岩室、土山町前野・徳原に伝わる「瀧樹神社のケンケト踊り」は、毎年5月3日の瀧樹神社の春祭りで奉納される。孔雀や山鳥などの羽根をあしらった、シャガマを被った踊り子達が、神社や地域の各所で囃子に合わせて踊りを披露する。ハナバイ（花奪い）もこのお祭りの特色で、取った花を家に持ち帰ると災難を免れられると伝えられている。全国の類似の踊りとともに、ユネスコ無形文化遺産に登録されている。 （提供：甲賀市歴史文化財課） "Tagi Shrine no Kenketo Odori," passed down in Koka-cho Iwamuro and Tsuchiyama-cho Maeno/Tokuhara, is dedicated every year on May 3rd during the Spring Festival of Tagi Shrine.
