The Nature Friends' Trail on the Traunstein is arguably one of the most beautiful and most popular via ferratas in the Upper Austrian Salzkammergut. Challenging throughout, the trail leads over the Schottenkar cirque and through a rock arch to the summit. On clear days, you can enjoy magnificent views of Lake Traunsee, Lake Attersee, Lake Mondsee, and the Dachstein Mountains from the top.
