Many of you remember our tiny lop-eared kitten, Anfisa, from Grozny, who was abandoned outside in a cardboard box with her mother and other kittens on Easter. The kittens were barely a week old. Thin, sick, and emaciated, they were left completely alone in the open air. After learning about what was happening from a subscriber, I took Stesha and her kittens to the Moscow region, under my wing. For two months, we fought for the lives and health of mother and kittens. Doctors warned us right away that we would likely lose some of them. The kittens were too weak, too small, and their infections were severe. But we managed and saved everyone's lives. Anfisa, the lop-eared kitten, turned out to be the most humble member of the family, besides her mother. Upon discharge from the clinic, she struggled to adapt to the pet boarding facility and get along with a large group of other kittens. Whenever I visited my rescued babies, I saw the same picture... Everyone was playing, but Anfisa, like some poor relative, sat in a corner, sadly watching everything. She was even too shy to approach the food bowls. But there was nothing I could do to change the situation. The phone was silent. Despite the great publicity, their breed, and their beauty, no one wanted to take our little ones home.
