Ella Odyssey | FIRST CLASS | Most Beautiful Train ride in Sri Lanka 🇱🇰

Ella Odyssey, A luxury train service from Kandy to Ella has started 5th March 2022. Ella Odyssey train will operate daily leaving Kandy at 7 AM and reaching Demodara at 2.20 PM, and leaving Demodara at 3.40 PM. and reaching Kandy at 9.45 PM. This is very important initiative by Sri Lanka Rail Way Department which greatly help for the development of Sri Lanka Tourism.  Kandy to Ella train journey one of most scenic and beautiful train journey in South Asia climbing through lush green tea estates, waterfalls, tunnels which create super adventurous feeling. There is a high demand for the Kandy Ella train from both local and international travelers but there were only few daily trains operated and the Ella Odyssey train will be a great addition to the Sri Lanka tourism. Ella Odyssey is a luxury train for the first time Sri Lanka consisting first and second class compartment together with restaurant cabin. This will have around 176 Air con first class seats and over 144 second class seats in this train branded as ‘Ella Odyssey’ which will be operated by Sri Lanka Railway Department. This tourist oriented luxury Ella Odyssey train will stop at 12 stations including nine tourist attractions such as St. Clair Falls, Great Western, Railway Station, Algin Waterfall, Pattipola, Idalgashinna, Demodara Nine Arch Bridge.which are the most scenic places between Kandy & Ella Railway stations. The train will stop at these locations for a few minutes for tourists to enjoy the scenery and capture photos and videos. Our Journey was first class from Kandy to Nuwara eliya.
