The Mediterranean: the Refugee Graveyard
The 300-mile stretch between Libya and Sicily is often called the "Refugee Graveyard," where over 16,000 people have vanished in recent years. But for those fleeing conflict, the greatest danger isn't the sea - it's the detention centers run by militias on land. In this documentary, we go undercover in Zawiya to reveal the reality of life inside these clandestine camps. We also join the crew of the Ocean Viking, a humanitarian rescue ship, as they navigate treacherous waters and complex legal battles to save lives. Directors: ETIENNE HUVER & JEAN-BAPTISTE RENAUD
