Genesis 1:26 by Missler and Ritchie #video #bible #christianity #holyspirit #god #apostolic #jesus

Nobody in the first few centuries of Christianity called God three persons or a triad in unity, which the trinity literally means. Only a philosopher and lawyer named Tertullian used the term to describe God in 200 A. D. It took many years later of compromise to come up with a manmade version of a triad in unity Godhead. The doctrine of the Trinity Godhead was partially defined by the Catholic Nicene Creed, established at the First Council of Nicaea in 325 A. D. It was where the God the father and God the son were considered one God. Thereafter it was expanded at the First Council of Constantinople in 381 A. D. That's when God the holy spirit officially entered the godhead as its third person. Together, these councils codified the understanding of one God in three coeternal, and consubstantial persons. Often, they are called God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. or Three persons of one divine substance. However, the trinity cannot be found in the scriptures as even the trinitarians and their scholars admit this. The early Christians and apostles all espoused only belief in the one true God. Even Jesus himself repeated the Shema of Deuteronomy 6 and 4 in Mark 12, 29 and 30. The following video will explain the meaning of Genesis 1 and 26 from two viewpoints. One from the trinitarian (Chuck Missler) first, and then secondly one from monotheism called by many as oneness (Steve Ritchie). Then decide for yourself which one is scriptural and more logical.
