Newcastle Flyer 2023

On 24/06/2024, 3801 once again ran the Newcastle Flyer from Sydney to Newcastle and return. This year I was fortunate to be able to do the trip in the Lounge car at the end of the train, affording some unique views of the line. This is the highlights from the trip, including the departure from Hornsby station in the morning, running through Mullet Creek, and of course crossing the magnificent Hawkesbury River Bridge in both directions.
