Within several hours, his location in an unfinished building was established. The suspect did not make contact with the negotiator and opened fire on the KORD special forces from the third floor of the building. In response, law enforcement officers used firearms. The use of force was necessary to stop the threat to the lives of law enforcement officers. The attacker died during the detention,” said the Head of the Main Police Department in the Odessa Region, Ivan Zhuk. As a result of the attack, two patrol officers received gunshot wounds. The condition of the law enforcement officers is extremely serious. Doctors are providing the necessary assistance, taking all possible and impossible measures to save the lives of the victims.
