In this new video, I'm taking you to the apiary for a rather special moment: the retirement of an Apis mellifera ligustica queen. Rather than destroying her, we chose to give her a second life in a small, dedicated colony. This decision allows us to both respect the queen's work and preserve her genetic qualities. The video also shows how to divide the mother hive to create a new colony from her offspring. The goal is to obtain a second generation carrying the characteristics of this ligustica lineage.
