The scam began with the receipt of a thermal bag as a gift and a proposal made by phone. The victim received tasks in messaging groups, such as following business profiles and sending screenshots. The rewards started small, but soon the scammers demanded "investments" with promises of immediate returns. After receiving an initial positive return by depositing two hundred reais, the young woman began investing larger sums, resulting in total loss. When trying to recover her money, she was informed of fictitious problems that required further contributions. She sought help from banks, but the funds were already dispersed in fraudulent accounts with false identities created by artificial intelligence. Experts warn about similar scams on the internet that begin with exaggerated gifts or promises. It is always recommended to be suspicious of these offers and consult people close to you before making financial decisions. Online retail companies claim to be taking measures against the misuse of their brand by scammers and clarify that reviews on their website are voluntary and unpaid.
