Your spine supports you every day. It lifts, straightens, and holds you upright—we often don't notice this work until our backs start reminding us. This 20-minute practice is designed to allow us to pause for a moment and give back to our back. We do it using the Somara method—slowly, mindfully, in conjunction with our breathing. No rushing, no straining for results. Just as much as your body needs today. ❤️ You don't need a mat or a special place. You can sit on a cushion, a bolster, a chair, or the sofa—the most important thing is to be comfortable. If you sit at a desk all day and feel tension in your spine, you're in the right place. We'll go through gentle movements of the entire spine together—from the lower back, through the middle of the back and shoulders, to the cervical spine—and conclude with a quiet rest. We'll open and close the practice with a mantra. You can chant with me or simply listen and feel.
