The BEST place to see the snow monkeys in JAPAN!

The best place to see the snow monkeys in Japan! Yudanaka and the snow monkeys... awesome ramen and sushi - Family Road Trip Across Japan, Episode 2 This is episode 2 of our epic road trip around Japan. In this video we visit the snow monkeys, have some of the best ramen and sashimi we've ever had, have some onsen eggs, and stay at a traditional Japanese guest house - ryokan. At Yudanaka Yasuragi, our Ryokan, we had a fabulous multi-course Kaiseki breakfast. Michelle and I have been to Yudanaka to visit the snow monkeys twice before. Once many years ago we went as a couple. A few years later we returned with Georgia when she was 2 years old and Michelle was very pregnant with Brandon. This time around we wanted to take our little monkey, Brandon, to see the snow monkeys. Unfortunately for us it wasn't snowing when we visited this time. Well, it started snowing as we were leaving but we did see the monkeys running around and playing. One even decided to "attack" Georgia's leg. Don't worry, neither Georgia nor the snow monkey were hurt. It was a nice reminder that the macaques are wild animals and they can be quite aggressive. Most of the time they just sit around looking cute or rolling around and playing. Also in this video we have one of the best chicken ramens we've ever had at Enza Café. Enza is a cafe adjacent to the entrance to the walk to the snow monkey park. We also had outstanding chips, apple ice cream and iced lattes (with whipped cream on top of course) at Enza. We had dinner at Goen Japanese Dining where we had sensational sushi, sashimi and shinshu beef. Yudanaka-Shibu Onsen is an onsen town. Hot spring water literally flows in the streets. A few ryokans have soft boiled eggs bubbling away in the the hot spring water for sale. You really must try one if you go to Japan. On the road trip to Kanazawa we stopped at road side stop, a Michi-no-eki, at Rendaiji and had iced coffees from a vending machine. I love vending machines and Michi-no-eki. Rendaiji was a small road house and in later episodes we'll stop and some of the huge road houses. Stay tuned for that. I hope you enjoy our visit to Yudanaka and the Snow Monkeys.
