She came: Thirsty, Empty, Searching, Broken, and Rejected. Yet one encounter with the living Word changed everything. The Word: 1. Exposed her true need. 2. Revealed the father’s desire. 3. Revealed Christ as the answer. This is why our monthly theme is true: THE WORD WORKS! The Word still works: In the sinner, In the backslider, In the addicted, In the discouraged, In the wounded, and In the church. Jesus Christ remains the Living Word. Through His death and resurrection, He opened the way for humanity to approach the Father. Today the Holy Spirit continues the ministry of Christ by: • Convicting hearts. • Revealing truth. • Producing worship. • Empowering witness. A church full of true worshipers becomes a church full of witnesses. A worshiper does not merely sing. A worshiper carries God's presence. A worshiper does not merely attend church. A worshiper becomes a dwelling place of the Holy Spirit. May the Word work in us until our thirst is satisfied in Christ, our worship becomes genuine, and our lives become testimonies of His saving power.
