The Samaritan teaches us the theology of gratitude. Pain brought ten together. Mercy healed ten. Faith moved ten. But gratitude distinguished one. He returned. He worshipped. He bowed. He believed. He was saved. Perhaps that is why we cannot remain silent. When we remember: He saved us. He forgave us. He protected us. He healed us. He preserved our families. He sustained our ministries. He carried us through disappointments. He gave us another day. How can we keep quiet? How can we settle? How can we fit comfortably into this world when Christ has done so much? Calvary itself is the greatest reason gratitude becomes worship. Christ walked toward Jerusalem. Christ carried our leprosy called sin. Christ bore our shame. Christ endured our rejection. Christ died our death. Christ rose for our justification. Christ ascended. Christ poured out His Spirit. Today the Holy Spirit still reminds believers of what Christ has done, producing worshippers who cannot contain their praise. Jesus is not merely a healer. Jesus is not merely a miracle worker. Jesus is God manifested in the flesh. Jesus is Savior. Jesus is Redeemer. Jesus is Lord. And worthy is the Lamb who was slain. Today Christ still asks: "Where are the nine?"
