VLUCHT NAAR TENERIFE 1975 Deze film, opgenomen op het prachtige Canarische eiland Tenerife, bezit voor mij een bijzondere historische waarde, aangezien deze meer dan vijftig jaar oud is. Hoewel vakantiefilmpjes voor anderen wellicht minder opmerkelijk zijn, heb ik toch besloten deze te publiceren op YouTube vanwege zijn historische betekenis. De film is vervaardigd met een Super-8 filmcamera, specifiek de Canon 214 Electronic, die destijds geroemd werd om zijn uitstekende kwaliteit. Het gebruikte filmmateriaal is van Kodak. De opnames zijn voornamelijk vervaardigd in het pittoreske Puerto de la Cruz. Wij ontmoeten de Volksdansgroep uit Punta del Hidalgo, die een indrukwekkende voorstelling verzorgde in de tuin van hotel Tigaiga. Tevens worden beelden getoond bij het zwembad van ons hotel Molino Blanco, evenals van het toenmalig kleinschalige Loropark, dat slechts drie jaar eerder zijn deuren opende. Het Nationaal park de Teide is uiteraard een essentieel onderdeel, met zijn unieke vulkanische landschap en de imposante 3.718 meter hoge Pico El Teide. Verder wandelen wij over de boulevard van Puerto de la Cruz, waar de zwembaden van Lago Martiánez zich bevinden, direct aangelegd in zee. Dit vormt een schitterende locatie in het noorden van het eiland. FLIGHT TO TENERIFE 1975 This film, shot on the beautiful Canary Island of Tenerife, holds special historical value for me, as it is more than fifty years old. Although vacation videos may seem less remarkable to others, I have nevertheless decided to publish this one on YouTube because of its historical significance. The film was shot with a Super 8 camera, specifically the Canon 214 Electronic, which was renowned at the time for its excellent quality. The film was shot on Kodak. The footage was primarily shot in the picturesque town of Puerto de la Cruz. We meet the folk dance group from Punta del Hidalgo, which put on an impressive performance in the garden of the Tigaiga Hotel. The video also features scenes by the pool of our Molino Blanco Hotel, as well as the then-small-scale Loropark, which had opened its doors just three years earlier. Teide National Park is, of course, an essential part of the film, with its unique volcanic landscape and the imposing 3,718-meter-high Pico El Teide. We also stroll along the promenade of Puerto de la Cruz, where the Lago Martiánez pools are located, built directly into the sea. This makes for a stunning location in the north of the island.
