This Volcanic Arc Was Hidden Until Now

The Stavely Arc is a recently discovered 500 million year old volcanic arc that existed in ancient when Australia was connected to Antarctica and other countries within the super continent of Gondwanaland. At that point in time, the entirety of Eastern of Australia was a deep ocean that lay off the east coast of Gondwana and the ancient paleo pacific ocean would collide with the continental Gondwana tectonic plate, spawning the magmatic arc in the process. The pacific plate subducted beneath it, and it ushered forth a wave of volcanic activity that would become increasingly explosive throughout time. This volcanic activity, would generate deposits of vast mineral wealth in the form of gold, silver, copper, lead, and other valuable metals and minerals. The Stavely Arc is notable because its' chemistry and overall makeup is very similar to the Andes in present day, which is the site of the largest copper porphyry deposits to exist on our planet. Because the Stavely Arc is a dead magmatic arc, it's very possible that it's even more enriched then the Andes are, purely because the most significant stage of mineral deposition occurs in the final eruptions released by a dying volcanic system. These final pulses left behind huge amounts of porphyry deposits, and epithermal deposits, and much of the sedimentary rocks around this volcanic arc are also mineral enriched too due to the release of minerals on the deep ocean floor slowly building layers up ontop of sedimentary material, intertwining itself with it, and enriching it in the process. Multiple tectonic collisions, and orogeny's, would slowly lift the bedrock of eastern Australia up from the deep ocean floor. Building mountains in the process, and creating an intense wave of volcanism in the form of stratovolcanoes, plinian eruptions, and supervolcanoes that released some of the largest supervolcanic eruptions to have occurred on Earth, and these eruptions might've even contributed to multiple extinction events throughout time.
