The Pepe Álvarez Municipal Pavilion will host the second edition of the Expo Family Tattoo Utrera from Friday, May 29th to Sunday, May 31st. This event will bring together tattoo artists from across Spain and around the world. Free admission all weekend. The convention is promoted by the Utrera-based studio DyL Tattoo, owned by Diego Fernández, and is supported by the Utrera City Council, as well as specialized companies in the tattoo industry. The event will be held at the Pepe Álvarez Pavilion with free admission and is designed to be open to everyone. Diego Fernández commented on the difficult task of finding a date for the event, as well as the challenge of securing sponsors. Following the success of its first edition, this event returns with the aim of establishing itself as a key event for body art enthusiasts, transforming Utrera into a showcase of talent and the latest trends in the industry for three days. Furthermore, the event's charitable purpose adds to its appeal, as there will be a stand dedicated to raising money for people like María, a five-year-old girl suffering from a brainstem disorder. Throughout the weekend, attendees can witness live tattooing sessions, get a close look at the work of numerous artists, discover new materials and styles, and attend meetings and talks related to this creative field. A bar area with food and drinks at affordable prices will also be available to complete the experience. According to Diego Fernández, the caliber of the guest artists will be incredible, featuring renowned figures such as tattoo artists Samu Rico and Emilio Fernández, among others. Diego Fernández expressed his satisfaction with the number of tattoo artists attending, as many are returning from last year, and there are also new additions. A total of 60 tattoo artists will be present, and although this number is lower than last year, Diego explains that "it's often not about quantity, but quality; we want this to be a family-friendly convention." Program of Activities The program kicked off this Friday at 10:00 AM and will continue until midnight. The event will feature beer competitions, food challenges with Iván Food, a soccer kicking contest, exhibitions, musical performances, food stalls, and more. Ten local businesses from Utrera will also be participating and will have visibility at the event. On Saturday, more than 25 classic cars will be on display in the main square, and a professional kickboxing exhibition will take place at 6:00 PM. This will be followed by a burger competition at 8:00 PM. In addition, a tattoo competition will be held each of the three days of the event, starting at 8:30 PM. The competition will feature different categories, a professional jury, and various prizes for the winners. The best tattoo of the convention will be chosen at the end of Sunday. The organizers encourage both Utrera residents and visitors from other towns to come to the venue and enjoy a unique urban leisure and cultural experience. The doors are now open.
