The Utrera City Council held the official handover ceremony for the SUS-C1 industrial park, a strategic infrastructure project located on Avenida Alcalde José Dorado Alé. This park will expand the availability of industrial and commercial land in the municipality, encouraging the establishment of new businesses and generating employment and wealth in the city. The ceremony was attended by the project's developer, Emilio Ayala; the Mayor of Utrera, Francisco Jiménez; the Delegate for Economic Reactivation and Employment, Isabel González Blanquero; and the Delegate for Urban Planning, María Luisa Reina, along with members of the City Council. Institutional representatives from the Regional Government of Andalusia were also present, including the Regional Government Delegate in Seville, Ricardo Sánchez; and the Territorial Delegate for Economy, Finance, European Funds, and Industry, Energy and Mines, Antonio José Ramírez Sierra. and the regional delegate for Employment, Business, and Self-Employment, Antonio Agustín Vázquez, as well as business owners and representatives of the local economic community. During his speech, Emilio Ayala expressed his satisfaction at completing a project that he described as "a great source of satisfaction to celebrate the completion and handover of the urbanization works in this area." The developer also highlighted some of the main milestones achieved during the project's development, noting that it has succeeded in "making this area a harmonious transition between the residential area of ​​the El Carmen neighborhood and the adjacent industrial park." He also emphasized the direct connection created between the rear neighborhood and the main access road to Utrera, as well as the improved services for this entire residential area. Ayala further explained that the new urban retail park will "create local and sustainable wealth, generating both direct and indirect employment, revitalizing the surrounding area, attracting new brands to our municipality, and creating synergies between different sectors." Regarding the technical details, Emilio explained that it is a 22,000 m² commercial park, with over 3,000 m² of buildable area in independent commercial plots, in addition to the land ceded to the city council. The developer also expressed his gratitude for the collaboration of the Utrera City Council throughout the project's development process. For his part, the delegate of the Andalusian Regional Government in Seville, Ricardo Sánchez, highlighted the importance of this new development for the city, noting that “less than two months ago, another industrial park was officially opened.” He also emphasized the value of having local developers committed to the economic development of Utrera and to the future of a city “with such great potential.” Decades of work to reach this point The mayor of Utrera, Francisco Jiménez, recalled that this project began to take shape in 2002 and described the SUS-C1 as “the result of decades of work.” In this regard, he pointed out that “this is a project built with effort, with courageous decisions, and with a very clear vision: for Utrera to continue growing, generating opportunities, and strengthening its business fabric.” “Today, we are adding a new space to Utrera, designed to generate activity, investment, services, and a future. Utrera has persevered once again,” the mayor stated, alluding to Seneca’s famous phrase, “Vincit qui patitur” (He who suffers, conquers). Finally, Francisco Jiménez reaffirmed his commitment to the city’s economic development, saying, “Utrera must move forward, and my commitment is to continue promoting economic activity so that businesses can grow and our residents have more opportunities.” He added that “when a city develops industrial land, it is not only urbanizing land but also building opportunities.” Three Years of Productive Land Development The mayor noted that, in the last three years, Utrera has expanded its productive land by 22 hectares. The reception of the SUS-C1 thus adds to other recently unlocked projects, such as the La Carretera Amarilla area, the Innovatorno Industrial Estate, La Coduva or the OMO Retail Commercial Park (Vistalegre), in addition to the upcoming launch of a new commercial park at the entrance to the city.
