La Vie en rose | Piano and Vocal Cover - Smooth Jazz Music

This song is a special request from Joe Dig (@joedig9688). If you've got a request, please let me know in the comments! Here's my take on Louiguy (Louis Guglielmi) and Édith Piaf's 'La Vie en rose', which was written in 1945. Initially, Piaf and her peers didn't feel the song would be successful, so she put it aside. The next year, however, she changed her mind, first performing it in a concert in 1946 and recording it in 1947, and it was 'La Vie en rose' that brought her international fame. In 1950, English lyrics were added by Mack David, and charting records of it in that year include those by Tony Martin, Bing Crosby, Édith Piaf herself, Ralph Flanagan, Victor Young, and Louis Armstrong. It has also been recorded by The Ray Charles Singers, Dean Martin, Gary McFarland, Bette Midler, Tony Bennett and k.d. lang, Marlene Dietrich, Petula Clark, Connie Francis, Madeleine Peyroux, Kurt Elling, Michael Bublé, Cécile McLorin Salvant, and even Cyndi Lauper, along with many others. I hope you enjoy it! ---------- Like what I'm wearing? Upgrade your wardrobe and help support the channel with 10% off ties, dress shirts, accessories, and more at OTAA.
