Who would have thought this village holds such an extraordinary wealth of history? Not far from the fish ponds in this village, is the tomb complex of a high-ranking official of the Samudera Pasai Sultanate during the reign of Sultan Zainal Abidin bin Ahmad. He was Shadrul Akabir Abdullah Al-'Abbasiy. Shadrul was the fifth descendant of Caliph Abu Ja'far Al-Mansur Al-Mus-tansir bi-Llah Amirul Mu'minin and the caliph of the 'Abbasid Dynasty. His full name was Abdullah bin Muhammad bin 'Abdul Qadir bin Yusuf bin 'Abdul 'Aziz bin Al-Mansur. Abu Ja'far Al-'Abbasiy Al-Mustansir bi-Llah, also known as Shadrul Akabir Abdullah bin Muhammad Al Abbasiy. The existence of this tombstone also proves that this fifth descendant of Caliph Abu Ja'far Al Mansur emigrated and settled in Sumatra until the end of his life. Abdullah bin Muhammad was a great figure. The inscription on his tomb begins with the nickname Shadrul Akabir, which means "Leader of the Magnificent." This nickname signifies his important position during the reign of Sultan Zainal Abidin bin Ahmad, the ruler of Samudera Pasai at that time. Watch this video in full.
