The Longyou Caves: The Submerged Chinese Mystery The Longyou Grottoes are a fascinating work of monumental architecture, consisting of 24 carved caverns spanning 30,000 square meters. A cave system carved at least 2,000 years ago, its use and builders are completely unknown. The Longyou Caves share several of the mysteries that have made the pyramids of Giza a global mystery. Both display impeccable results, highly advanced even for our time, and were built with techniques whose knowledge has been lost. These underground constructions were built without lamps or torches, and whose function is not entirely clear.
