Most people think of WrestleFest when they think of classic WWF arcade action, but it all started with WWF Superstars back in 1989. Running on Techno's Double Dragon 2 engine, WWF Superstars allowed players to form a tag team (Hulk Hogan, Ultimate Warrior, Jim Duggan, Honky Tonk Man, Big Boss Man and Randy Savage were selectable) and the main goal of the game was to beat The Mega Bucks and win the tag team championships. The game did not receive a home port, however the WWF Superstars name was used for 2 Game Boy releases. "WWF Wrestlemania" on home computers had a similar look to Superstars, but the game controlled very differently. #WWF #Wrestling #Arcade
