Released at a time when WWE games had a stranglehold on the market, this release. was a genuine attempt to bring the unique world of Lucha Libre to consoles. Anyone who has actually played it knows it’s a bit of a mixed bag. In today's video, we’re looking back at the "Triple A" game to see exactly what worked and what fell flat. On paper, it had everything going for it such as the diverse roster, the atmosphere, and a style that should've been completely different from the SmackDown vs. Raw series. Instead the things that make Lucha Libre so fun (in terms of the in-ring stuff) seem to be totally missing from the game This video includes a total brea down of the roster and checking out everyone included from legends like Dr. Wagner Jr. and La Parka to the guys you might have forgotten. Story mode is also covered including Tecnico and Rudo paths, and I also talk about what worked and what didn't work in terms of gameplay. Héroes del Ring definitely captured the vibe of AAA but the execution was just a few steps short of greatness. It’s an underwhelming game in many ways, but it’s still one of the most interesting "alternative" wrestling titles ever released.
